“Searching for Better: Exploring ideas to improve the quality of life explores some of the unchallenged assumptions that underpin traditional ideologies and the socio-political systems they have underpinned. By starting with the fundamental issue of survival it ignores these and focuses instead on basic human needs.
Building on the theme that human needs are common to our entire species and thus universal, it introduces the concept of “Universalism” and expounds the “principles” and “protocols” for sustaining this.
Building on these, it provides a manifesto for a better sociopolitical system which can hopefully enable the development and implementation of new systems that will solve the global challenges we face, avoid the potentially dangerous conflict we face and prevent us making some of the mistakes of the past.
